Day #12 Seller Amp and Keepa Deep Dive

Day 12: SellerAmp

SellerAmp

This is a great tool to help sellers do some rapid sourcing research on an ASIN. Lots of new sellers swear up and down that this extension is even better than RevSeller. I am a RevSeller fan, personally, but I am always willing to give things a fair shake.

Quick Info

Some of the main features that we see here include:

  • Eligibility
  • Alerts
  • BSR
  • Sales Estimate (emphasis on the word estimate)
  • Max Cost
  • Quick Profit and ROI calculator

Ranks and Prices

This section tells you the rank and price info according to whatever range you care about.

Not only does it tell you valuable stats like price and rank, it also provides sales estimates and even sale time estimates. Again, always take those estimates with a grain of salt and use Keepa.

Alerts

This is a great feature much like ASINGadget that will tell you about important alerts and labels for the ASIN you are looking at.

I can’t verify how accurate these stats are, but if you can verify it with Keepa, do so!

Charts

This is a simple chart, but since we know about the power of Keepa, I would trust that over this

If the data point can be found in Keepa, always verify what you see in lesser known tools with Keepa charts.

Costs and Fees

This is where you can quickly add your personal costs to better calculate your profit and ROI.

Like I mentioned before, SellerAmp is the preferred alternative to RevSeller.

Variations (Beta)

This is a feature of SellerAmp that is still in Beta, so there may be some kinks that they need to iron out. You can use it to see just how many variations you are working with in Keepa.

You can also use this feature to look at color and size variations, which is a great little tool to have if you are selling something  like clothing/shoes/appliances/etc.

I’m not a fan of selling apparel, but apparel isn’t the only thing with color variations.

Offers

Lets you quickly see other sellers offers on the same ASIN and how much they are probably making in ROI and profit

This is a great tool for storefront stalking, as it creates a quick list of hyperlinks to every competitor's storefront.

Keepa

This table lets you quickly pull up stats for any ASIN using an integration of Keepa.

I’d ignore this tool as Keepa is better than whatever integration they can give you.

Sourcing with SellerAmp

The winning piece about SellerAmp? You can use it to pull up amazon data as you source external retailers!

This is well worth the price, and I get why people pay for it. It is such a cool feature!

Day 12 Live Q+A

Do you like Seller Toolkit?
I never tried it to be honest.

Who created SellerAmp?
Some company in the UK. I don’t know off the top of my head.

How fare do you go when you’re looking at the ROI for something that sold at different PPs?
Look at the average in that case. The more important thing is finding the overall margin.

Is the whole Prop 65 thing a big deal?
Maybe, but it most likely looks like a fluke scenario with one seller.

What is a good margin to look for?
At or above 10% starting out, but that will go down as you grow.

Do you prefer RevSeller or SellerAmp for variations?
Neither. I use Keepa.

Do you have anything against ASINZen?
No, I just don’t use them.

What takes precedence when discount stacking?
Great question! Store discounts take priority.

Is there a stalking limit in SellerAmp?
Not if you have the premium version.

What is a good ROI?
I usually set mine to 30%, but you need to be willing to be flexible if that isn’t enough to sell. You want to maximize churn rate over hitting imaginary benchmarks.

Can you show the SellerAmp SAS mobile App?
No, unfortunately.

Do you have any videos on InventoryLab?
No, just because their existing documentation is already better than anything I could make for you guys. I only make tutorials when I believe that I can teach you better than the company’s documentation.

How do you get rid of a bad review?
You’re only able to appeal to amazon. If that doesn’t work, use Amazon’s TOS to find a reason to dispute the review.

If that fails, I’d just let it go. Bad reviews happen.

Any good spreadsheet tutorials that you can recommend?
Miss Excel is amazing.

Why is your minimum ROI 30%? That’s kinda low, right?
No, just because their existing documentation is already better than anything I could make for you guys. I only make tutorials when I believe that I can teach you better than the company’s documentation.

What VPN would you suggest?
NordVPN is my favorite.

What categories are all sellers ungated in?
Home and Kitchen is a good one. It can suck early on as you start, but just keep at it and don’t stop sending ungating requests.

Do you have any videos on InventoryLab?
No, just because their existing documentation is already better than anything I could make for you guys. I only make tutorials when I believe that I can teach you better than the company’s documentation.

Where can we find your podcast?
Anywhere that podcasts are downloaded, as well as my YouTube channel.
